Dj Misty in Xtra!

DJ Misty Rock n' Roll has graced the pages of Xtra! Magazine!! While her retirement is very sad, thankfully she's still putting in the occasional guest appearance when she isn't hard at work in her big kid job. If you want to catch her spinning her blend of punk, rock, soul & 50's/60's pop you can check her out this Thursday, June 9 at The Bovine Sex Club (542 Queen St. W.) as well as the Pinups & Pompadours party this Saturday, June 11 at Velvet Underground (510 Queen St. W.).

Cupcakes & Party Hats

Seeing me onstage instead of behind a DJ booth is suuuper rare. But it has been known to happen and you can see for yourself this Saturday April 9th at The Hard Luck Bar (812 Dundas St. W.). It's my good pal Tina Sixx & the lovely Allison Wood's Birthday party and there are a bunch of awesome bands playing the festivities. I'm playing guitar alongside Tina in a one off reunion of the band Fresh Meat which is sure to be a blast.

If you want to come out, doors are at 8pm, Fresh Meat's on at 9pm. It's 19+, $5. There will be cupcakes and party hats. Hats!

Must See...HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN

DJ's Rob & Misty at the Toronto Hobo screening afterparty

"When life gives you razorblades, you make a baseball bat covered in razorblades" is just one of the many lessons to be learned in the epic new movie, Hobo With A Shotgun. I for one am a fan of the lessons you can only learn from a film that uses plenty of gore and style to tell it's grisly story about a hobo who decides to clean up a wildly corrupt town with nothing other than, well, a shotgun. I have no doubts that this is going to achieve major cult status and beyond which is especially rad coming from a few guys from Nova Scotia. I had a blast watching this film (cue cheesy "Hobo With A ShotFUN" comment) and think this is what you need to do this weekend. See this movie.

DJ MISTY ROCK n' ROLL makes some big news...

She was the DJ for a  world record breaking burlesque & variety show.
I asked her how she was, she told me...
"You know how you hear stories of marathon runners or swimmers or cyclists or whatever, and they go great distances and the only way they make it is by losing their minds? Thats what happens when you DJ a 12 hr and 3 min long overnight burlesque & variety show."

12 HOURS AND 3 MINS!!
