Veronika London, Intensely Dark, Bold and Stars in the gritty dog-eating thriller “Searching for Angels” alongside Vivica A. Fox

She is one of the most talked about up and coming Canadian actress that started as a Maxim model in 2009. Her bold choice to dismiss her agents advice and appear in the provocative TV-Series HBO “Lingerie” and SHOWTIMES “Body Language” scored her international recognition as a new face to watch as she spilled over to the states.  This year the young starlet enters the “serious actress “ pond playing a heroin addict that suffers from amnesia in “Searching for Angels” which was formerly known as “Jane Doe”.  It’s been quite a fast transition for London who seems to play by her own rules. Her approach to the business seems rather ambitious “Your agent does 10 percent of the work, we do ninety by taking control, taking risks and managing out careers”.

Her Motto:

“While I’m alive I’m going to move as quickly as possible, live as much as I can and I’m not going to care if it is good or bad for my career”

I had a small chat with Miss London the other day, big things are happening!

Must See...HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN

DJ's Rob & Misty at the Toronto Hobo screening afterparty
"When life gives you razorblades, you make a baseball bat covered in razorblades" is just one of the many lessons to be learned in the epic new movie, Hobo With A Shotgun. I for one am a fan of the lessons you can only learn from a film that uses plenty of gore and style to tell it's grisly story about a hobo who decides to clean up a wildly corrupt town with nothing other than, well, a shotgun. I have no doubts that this is going to achieve major cult status and beyond which is especially rad coming from a few guys from Nova Scotia. I had a blast watching this film (cue cheesy "Hobo With A ShotFUN" comment) and think this is what you need to do this weekend. See this movie.

Resident Evil Surpasses Porky’s as the Most Successful Canadian Feature

I had no idea Porky's  was even a Canadian film... what a shocker!!
Don Carmody’s Resident Evil: Afterlife 3Dhas surpassed the $280 million worldwide box office mark, making it the most successful production in Canadian feature film history, ahead of Porky’s (as confirmed by the Ontario Media Development Corp.)

In other news, Carmody and French producer Samuel Hadida have re-teamed to shoot Michael J. Bassett’s Silent Hill: Revelation 3D in Toronto later this year.
Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D, a Canadian-German co-production, was produced by Constantin Film and Davis Films/Impact Pictures The U.S. release is being done by Sony Screen Gems and the international roll-out will be done by Summit Pictures. Alliance Films released the film domestically.
